Someone mentioned needing all the snaps to get up to speed at DB this I agree BUT what if thats still not enough and he is not ready. As much as like Kelly I want to win so if there are better options they need to be out there.. Problem with that is then you have Kelly whos not even a backup qb anymore(zero snaps) who has not ran plays with the offense(zero snaps) sitting on the bench for the 4th year. Im going to use Mike owns words here.. NFL Talent, Most explosive athletic kid on the team maybe in MAC.. A great kid who he did not want too see come off the field unless it was q quick water break.... All these accolades not said by fans asistant coaches or media.. All Said by the head coach.. How after 4 years have you not figured out a way to use this kid Lets bounce back for a second then Im done and we will just see how it plays out Pulling a kid back out of the portal is different than originally recruiting him.. In originally recruitment you can get away with you will be given the oppurtunity, we can see you doing this or that etc.. Generic non guaranteeing terms and statements.. When you call a kid and beg him back from the portal and you tell both the player and the parents this is the plan this is what we are going to do. If you dont at least get close the plan its more than typical broken recruitment coach speak.. It becomes more straight up lying to a kid and parents and wasting yet another year of the kids limited time playing football. Hopefully this is all much to do about nothing and everyone comes out smelling like a rose Everything you said here is spot on, especially the re-recruiting part…when I say someone is a politician that’s simply another way of me saying ‘they lie’ or in Neu’s case, makes promises they never really intend to keep. And Kelly is not the only player who went into the portal who they ultimately recruited to come back. But unlike Kelly, Koziol and Pemberton have clearly defined roles and wanted bigger opportunities and it appears they were told that would be the case if they returned. The fact that Kelly’s shift happened in such a short period of time suggests to me that there wasn’t the intention all along…at minimum it is poorly managed from a communication standpoint…why not leave it alone and say nothing at all? It’s not like we’re a perennial MAC contender who need to be secretive…speaking of leaving it alone, that’s what I’ll do…but I’m going to be really glad when this topic is not on the radar at all. |

Thats just it we cant keep this up its not doing anyone any good.. Its bullshit but it is what it is and we cant change it. We just have to hope we win some games

I have no idea what kind of DB Kelly will be but there are lots of techniques and nuances to the position. I can’t imagine that it will be easy for him to just use his athleticism and be a starter. I would like to see him get at least 6 touches a game on offense ala Debo Samuel but if he isn’t practicing with the offense that appears unlikely. Given the cumulative amount of bone-headed decisions over the past 7 years this isn’t really surprising I guess. My expectations for this year remain increasing low.

Do we have an accurate depth chart somewhere out there? Athlon magazine and Lindy magazine seem to be really out of touch with their depth charts which is sad since they charge $15 for the magazine. The video game is probably more accurate!

A couple instances of me being wrong on the D side already well kinda wrong
I should have had Justin thomas starting at lb but I spaced this.. I knew it but just mistyped.. With his injury Berger is going to be starter olb along with Newson
Along with a position change for UDO who becomes a hybrid safety/linebacker... Im assuming being used kinda like we did Wilborn a few years ago
So we gotta couple more question marks on D

As I stated Im not sure any of this correct its all based off interviews mentions year past etc. Leffler is a walk on Blazek has held a clipboard for two years.. I suppose either could be two if thats tge case then we better pray semonza stays up right
