While I really enjoyed the interim coach news conference and wish him the best, we need to hire a coach with successful head coaching experience - at any level. Pay the money and give funding to hire a good assistant coaching staff. Please, no Lynch family members.

It's not like there is a lot of wasteful fat elsewhere in the athletic budget.
Should we reallocate money from other programs where which have performed well, and there are good chances for success? What's the priority with limited resources?
I'm not sure it is the name or family of the assistant coach that is the big problem. We're not going to get the job done without a budget that attracts talent.

We have 11 women’s sports, a majority of which bring nothing to the table but expenses. Sorry girl dads, a majority of alumni don’t give a damn about them. IF finances are that much of a concern, drop ‘em like a bad habit.

IF finances are that much of a concern, drop ‘em like a bad habit. An athletic department doesn't exist just to please alumni...especially those who care so much but don't buy tickets or support a sport losing millions every year. Title IX is based on the idea men and women should have equal educational opportunity. Scholarships, support. Those programs bring a lot to the table, and lose less money by any measure.

11 women to 7 men’s teams. That is not equal. Scholarship numbers? Football would be the offender, but last time I checked 23 positions were active. Ok double that for injuries. Still well short of what we probably provide. Now let’s address bullshit classes and the profs and expenses associated with them…badminton, bowling, archery, fitness walking etc… These are off the top of my head. I know title 9 is a deep ugly hole, and I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know the finite details. There are other ways to cut BS expenses and focus money on potential profit centers. Bring back common sense! The excuses are paper thin and get really old. Field a winner and expenses take care of themselves. Something our administration refuses to address and take seriously as I’m sure they are ready to commit to another needle in the haystack who is cheap with no successful head coaching experience. Cue the excuses
