It finally came out that Irsay did go after Gruden. And struck out. So Colts fans are stuck with pagano and mediocrity for another year. I still feel like there were other guys currently in the league he could have pursued better than Pagano. Plus, he just screws Pagano more by going after someone else but keeping pagano. Two years in a row he's done it so clearly Irsay doesn't think pagano is the guy.
Nice dysfunction in the Colts organization.

Irsay totally butchered everything. Went for a big fish and failed and now has to keep a coach who's clearly lame duck. Can't imagine manning will want to be a part of that mess.

Any press reports of scandal and incompetence in his inner circle is just the jealous hatred of the biased loser sports reporters and failed Indy Star. Irsay should appoint outsiders who have no experience in football to run the team, anyway. He needs change, outsiders to drain the swamp. Maybe hire some NBA billionaire owners to his coaching staff, could one become offensive line coach? And, maybe a doctor who doesn't believe in concussions could cut down on those injuries? That might work. |

And you know if the Patriots coach likes Irsay, that is a good thing.
We have to stop mistrusting the great leaders of the other teams. They would not spy on us, they love Irsay, and after all assured him publicly they were not doing anything like that.
Fire those scouts who are giving us false intelligence reports and just ask Belichick who we should draft.

Saw that. But kravitz is saying that coaches contracts are guaranteed and if he's fired he gets his full pay out and so a buyout makes no sense. Some random dude started the tweets and I'm not real sure how he'd know. Didn't look like he had any credentials otherwise.

I have no idea what Irsay is going to do, but I think by now it's become very clear that he no longer has the ability to think rationally and is making decisions with his heart instead of his head. You just can't do that when you own an NFL team. This league is as bottom line, win now, no such thing as next year, what have you done for me lately as it gets. If you don't want to fire someone because you like them, then go become a high school athletic director. It blows my mind how he had no problem curbing Bill Polian (who put together the best Colts teams we've ever seen) or Manning, the best player we've ever had and who got him his new, fancy stadium, but he doesn't want to pull the plug on two nobodies who have done nothing to make this organization better.
