I still contend that had we developed Kelly as a passer from the outset of the season we’d be looking at a bowl game. This staff’s confusion and/or stubbornness and/or taking too long to figure out have been perennial issues. Should have started developing him last year. |

Speaking of shirts with names, I realize we want to go all-IU and focus on team instead of individuals, but it would be nice to have names the first few games in this Portal Friendly environment. I had the same thought. I double-TV'ed it last night and had the football and basketball games side-by-side, but I had the volume off on the basketball because it was not going to be competitive. I barely recognized anyone and wished for names on jerseys. |

In basketball, what is the number of games that a player can play in before losing their redshirt  ? You can take certain steps to avoid losing it. For example sewing a label with your name and number to it. It's super important not to lose your redshirt. Otherwise you can only play in the home games. |

Mike Neu is the new the Whitford of MAC football....mediocrity. If we really want to play D1 football, why do we keep him? We are terrible! I'm thinking Neu might actually be worse than Whitford I have a feeling they'll find the money to move on after the season Neu won a championship. No matter how far we fall or how fluky it was, he still has that. |

Bob Knight is gone but not forgotten...It is a shame that a large part of his legacy will be his constant ability to show the public how big a jerk he could be. He was one of the great basketball coaches and a great friend to many but he could be a school yard bully and a world class ass much of the time. Whats the point in this comment. Jealousy? Reflection? |

Kelly had some wonderful throws tonight in key situations. This is on the coaches. C'mon. I watched the whole game and I didn't see anything wonderful other than Kelly's second TD run. He's a tremendous athlete and runner but he's not even an average passer. He panics in the pocket, stares down receivers, rarely gets past the first read and misses badly on 1/3 of his attempts. We never got it to Koziol because our QB isn't a QB. He's an athlete. You must have missed him try to break Magwood’s nose 40 yards downfield. He also made a pass that I dont think our other qb’s would have made where he was wrapped up and still got it out. And I think he converted on 3rd and long late in the game. With Kelly we have been competitive. Without him we were getting blown out. He is clearly the best option. |
