Since he was hired I have wanted him to be successful. After watching two after game press conferences he was really shaken and emotional after the GS game and also even though he talked about the team togetherness and working hard to gain more confidence he once again became emotional in the Western post game. This is not projecting confidence but projecting defeatism. Martin had it right "undisciplined" majority of those penalties were preventable. Did anyone rip into the player who did a personal foul giving Western new life to then score a touchdown? The message was that the players were trying too hard resulting in penalties. Being undisciplined and getting soundly beaten does have an effect on confidence. The team can clean up being undisciplined but playing better well oiled teams will still result in getting beat. At least we won't use the excuse "we beat ourselves". Where did you find the post game press conference video from the WMU game? I watch them all on YouTube. Search "Ball State All Access" and it comes up with all the pre- and post- game football press conferences. It's way more hit or miss with bball.

BG beat Georgia Tech today. Yeah. GT blows a game to a mac team annually. Why do we always schedule the good teams from Georgia?

Glad I made it to the ISU game. Got to see our only win of the season. Looking forward to Goshen and Oakland City so I can see basketball’s best performances too.

I was busy last week during the game and very luckily had it “spoiled” for me, which saved me from watching it. I am going to be busy tomorrow during gametime and I’m tempted to spoil it for myself on purpose this time to save me some time in the evening if it’s not worth rewatching.

WMU is not good but I dont think we can call them a bye. I was referring to this past weekend where BSU took the weekend off. 😂

So, does everyone think that this bye weekend will help BSU prep for the first MAC game? WMU is not good but I dont think we can call them a bye.

DJ Irons stats are not that impressive tonight against IU but the dude has made plays. That’s what we’re missing with Kelly on the bench. Need to turn a broken play into a game winning play? Give it to an athlete.

Yeah no way he resigns. I’m not even sure I’d want him too. Look at how people treat Lembo. I am very reluctantly joining the fire Neu crowd. But getting dominated at home in year 8 to peer group competition doesnt cut it. I hope he wins me back and either way I’m grateful for the MAC championship. But this cannot go on this way.

They had recent glory but are projected as a lower half team in the SunBelt this year with a second year coach. If we lose at home....... Clay Helton had some success at USC. I think we're at a disadvantage there..... We could be a good program under Neu given the talent we've gotten at certain spots, but, when you see the same mental and physical mistakes EVERY game EVERY year you understand why we are pretty much a 5 win team every year that leaves at minimum 2 wins a year on the table because of poor coaching and poor fundamentals. Even the year we went to a bowl after the championship season we had another division "championship" in our grasp and pulled the usual crap vs. NIU and blew that game and collapsed the rest of the way till we beat a really bad UB team the last game of the year to get the 6th win. So I guess I'm saying I don't have confidence in a Neu coached team to win games like this one. Don’t forgot how miserable we looked at home against WMU in 2020 with the division championship on the line. I think WMU had like 23 first downs in the first half. WMU just shot themselves in the foot when they were about to score or else that would have been our last game of that season.

If this was still Jimmy Whit, we would accuse him of padding his victory total......just sayin' Padding his victory total was my first thought here. I don't think it has to do with Whit.

This game felt to me like our first two games with the roles reversed. The big underdog who is clearly playing out of their league plays tough for a while and keeps it close longer than expected, but the flood gates opened and it turns into a blowout. While the play calling wasn't especially adventurous, I will say that I missed on a few predictions what we were going to run next, which I feel like I'm normally extremely accurate predicting our plays.
I didn't notice much of a change in the gameday experience. I usually sit on the general admission side and they wouldn't let us walk around the paved path where the fancy colonnade is. They made us walk through the grass, which was crowded so we had to weave around people already in their spots. I saw tents and things set up facing into the grass, but I'm not sure why make people walk on a graded grass surface where people are sitting where there is a paved walkway right there made for that purpose.
Not sure why we still saw three QB's. Seems like Hatcher is clearly out of the mix at this point. Last year we were all begging to see Kelly even just a peek, and got nothing. Now we're sticking with a 3 QB rotation. Semonza seems like the correct call at #1. He is playing well with the highest upside for the system we run. I like still seeing Kelly and really want the kid to succeed here. But I feel like the coaches don't want to play Kelly but don't want him to transfer, and they're trying to walk that tightrope. There is just so much to be said for a QB that can turn any play into a big gain. Aside from the fumble Semonza impressed me with his legs.
Big props to the ISU fans. They showed out in big numbers.

I don't know guys. I saw that line stretching back, walked down 50 feet to the next gate and basically walked right in without a wait. Unless you could only get your ticket scanned at one gate, you probably waited in a long line unnecessarily. I guess BSU could have had people out there directing you, but really I would have thought folks would have figured that out. Walk up ticket line going towards Bethel x.com/ssn_ballstate/status/1703208769268723998?s=46&t=IQKJLqxPjwq9AvdgK-FTIgGlad I showed up at 2:30.
