With our new 3-qb system UK wont know what hit them. We can name our score and will probably take our foot off the gas in the early 3rd quarter. Third string finishes the game.

I dont really get why this is contentious. Shop OSU, bama, oregon, georgia, any of those guys are going to have like 15 different logos, some of which will be a cartoonish version of their mascot. If you dont like it sport the other logos on your apparel.

An explosive qb can turn broken plays into td’s. Last year is inexplicable because it’s not like we had a passing threat. Say Kelly was a worse passer than Paddock, it’s not like Paddock was tearing it up. At least Kelly would have added a dimension.

The lesson I take is things can change quickly. I remember the summer before Whitford’s last year the team disintegrated and I thought we’d be a program in shambles all year but Whitford somehow put together the solid core that Lewis inherited. So while I’m extremely disappointed in the current state of the program, I am hopeful it can turnaround as quick as it fell apart.

I’ve never understood all the expansion talk on the MAC board. Any additional schools in the conference are just further impediments to us becoming conference champs. It’s not like this is a money making endeavor where even the losers make money (e.g. IU football). Adding schools makes sense if you’re a super league and everyone wants to watch your games. Just as few people would tune in to BSU-MTSU as tune in to BSU-EMU. I vote for reduction instead of expansion. Let’s boot Toledo, NIU, Kent, and Akron. Then we might actually win the conference sometime. In fact, except for us, winning the conference in football or basketball should be an automatic expulsion. I dont want EMU to start getting ambitious. So, eliminating competition is the way BSU can win championships. That's the only way to bring BSU to dominance in the MAC? Fielding better teams certainly doesnt seem to be an option. I’m just thinking outside the box. |

Rob - do you know/are you willing to share Kelly's take? My understanding was that he was willing to come back in the belief that he would be given a fair shot and he was willing to chance it if he legitimately did not win. So I'm curious whether he feels he was given that fair shot and if he thinks he should have won.
