No one ever built a great program or attracted good players by playing the Longwoods of the world. I have always been an advocate of a strong out of conference schedule in any sport. You do not have to play a Big Ten caliber every out of conference game but look at this season's December schedule. We will have agree to disagree.

In fact, I do agree with that sentiment of improving our schedule. Not sure this one is all that bad under the circumstances that led to it, but, sure, we can and need to do better in the future. What's wrong and where we disagree is that I see no post taking "undue pride" in our schedule, just posts that show a little interest in the game.

It is just frustration on my part. When I think of how far this basketball program came under Majeris, Hunsaker, and Ray in the 80s and 90s with a high school gym and a small fan base and how it was all pissed away...we had such a good thing going. I want to return to days of good sized crowds and excitement on the part of the students. We need to get those students to make the trek across the street to give some ''umph'' to the crowds that tend to sit on their hands. One thing we can all agree on is , GO CARDS

We actually needed a weaker schedule this year in terms of learning how to win again. I'd rather play tougher teams with Cardinal stritch sprinkled in, but if you get your brains beat in twice a week it's hard to feel good about what you're doing or your coach. I just hope this pays off come January.

Cards are not looking good against NO. Three point shots late in the shot clock are not falling. NO is pressuring the ball and the Cards are having a tough time getting it in the paint. This is a game the Cards need to win with a week off following today's game.
Go Cards!

Lack of a good pg getting exposed. (And lack of running a good offense). Mac teams will eat that up.

I've got to say I'm liking the defense and free throw shooting I'm seeing from the Cards in this game.

Cards finish strong to get the win, 66-52. Six in a row, 4 of them in Worthen. Good to see the red and white have some success.
Go Cards!

It's a w. Still a lot to work through but we do have 7 wins. (And if we don't blow 2 games we're 9-0). A lot of problems offensively that we have got to address before MAC ball starts. Playing in the road vs stronger teams will be difficult for us. MAC teams give you nothing easy. Do like the defense. Long way to go but it's promising.
Tyler needs to be on the floor.
