Darian Owens-White was not introduced last night. I would think that this will free another scholarship. Hopefully. Coach knows what he needs this off season and has seen everybody on roster daily. Expect some serious cuts after the tournament. |

I'd keep Bum if he wants to stay; wouldn't fight him if he wanted to leave. In my mind, he's earned the right to finish his career as a Cardinal if he wants that.
Cleary and Windham are iffy. Don't think keeping or replacing them does much to improve our chances of being a MAC championship caliber team.
Don't know about the freshmen. I've always thought Bell seemed to have a lot of potential and would be a possible replacement for Jacobs if coachable.
Hendriks I would encourage to find another home.
The would leave us with a minimum of 2 more positions to fill, more if Cleary/Windham/a freshman depart. That's enough to do what needs to be done.

The more weight we fan throw overboard the better. If we could keep get 2 additional players to jump that would allow us to go grab 3 portal players. Which would be enough

Which would be enough That core of 8 players, maybe 9, will decide how good we are. Obviously we want to recruit over our current roster, and that might be hard to do with high schoolers, but with the portal? If we're able to do that a little, how will folks react. How would Cleary, Windham react? Maybe not seen as a big loss if they leave. I think Pearson, Jihad, Sparks would respond well. But, how would Boogie react? Would he do what Bum did and put his head down and work? |

Was at the game. Not having followed the MAC very closely for the last 10 or more years, I was not very familiar with Ray J Dennis. Most of the way through the first half, it was pointed out to me that his one leg was significantly smaller than the other. By this point, he had already established that he was more or less unguardable by BSU, and was primarily responsible for putting BSU into the hole from which they were never able to get out of. I found the article linked below describing how Dennis was born with clubfoot in his right foot and how he overcame this through effort and support from loving parents. Very admirable. Anyway, it is obvious that, to outscore Toledo, we would have to have at least two of our three big guns firing. Sparks held up his end, Coleman was out and Sellers provided too little too late, and that was that. Toledo is good, but Sparks gives us something they don't have. link |

If Bumb is reserve instead of starter we can defend them better.
May need all guns firing to beat them, but the good news is we did not shoot well at all in this game.
They did.
Even giving some credit to Toledo defense it's easy to imagine getting enough good shots to do better.
We can win a shootout.
