The Cards have now lost four of their last five games. Are you guys not critical of the late season slump? I think Coach Lewis has done well with this team, but the losses in Michigan are a real concern. I await Sherm's response to the MAC regular season record. Go Cards! RF I like Lewis but this is moving backwards. This late season collapse is fairly typical for BSU basketball for the last 20 years. Where are the people that said he needs a new contract a few weeks ago? I'm not convinced yet. If he makes a deep run in the MAC tourney maybe I'll change my tune. Other than player retention, I'm not convinced of his ability to recruit either.

"Not comparable to Whitford team meltdowns. We were playing winning ball till the wmu game. Then we freaking beat Kent. Then the injuries and fatigue really kicked in, yet we still had a chance to beat Akron on the road. We are still fighting and competing all the way through. Whits teams often capitulated. No Coleman for two games, no sparks foe a game. Pearson not at full strength, Jacobs and sellers nursing injuries. Yet, we’re going down swinging."
I agree we played hard and with purpose, but the beat up and injuries many of you said were excuses under former coaches back to Buckley. There was no excuse to lose either of the two games late this month in Michigan.
Go Cards!

However, the program has moved forward. Can’t change culture over night. Still work to be done, but I love the trend.

That would mean Coleman is returning. I thought that was not happening. We don’t know yet. Yes boogie was also recognized he has not yet decided

If we beat Ohio and Boogie plays we will beat Toledo in Cleveland! Ohio/Toledo/Akron or Kent it looks like. So tough. Don’t think we beat Ohio. But if we do then I think we can beat Toledo and Akron but we won’t beat Kent if we have to play them again.

Totally different in my opinion. We absolutely knew we are getting smoked by tge upper teams with Whit. We really were not fir the most part even competitive. Now we are truely in the conversation st least. We will not win we do not have enough when even 100 healthy. The MAC is guard based and the Best teams have Killer guards. Cary, Casteneda and Dennis. We need a dawg like that

Yes boogie was also recognized he has not yet decided Someone already commented on this, but Lewis commented in the pre-game on radio he had Bum and Coleman go through Senior Night along with Jacobs just in case they decided not to come back next season. That he (Lewis) didn't expect for Bum or Coleman to give him a definite answer now, but for them to be honored on Senior Night just in case they later decided not to come back. So in other words, the jury on both Coleman and Bumbaugh is still out. I thought it was kind of interesting, if not refreshing, that Lewis valued Senior Night. Whitford didn't seem to give a shit about it. Some seniors didn't even play on their senior night. I would also assume both Windham and Hendriks are coming back, or else Lewis would have had them honored too.

That crowd looked bigger than 4,441.

Likely Bumb's committed and has grad school plans.
Coleman would be great to have, but I've not expected him back from day one.

That crowd looked bigger than 4,441. Good crowd under all the circumstances of weather, family interest in sectionals, students gone.

Toledo was unreal from 3 tonight. Shot 66%. We only shot 20% from 3 and lost by 6. If Coleman and Sparks are healthy next week we can do some damage.

Ohio is up by 37 with 4 minutes to play. I think we can safely say they will be our opponent.
So here is the tournament.
Game 1 #8 Miami vs #1 Toledo - 11AM Thursday Game 2 #5 Ohio vs #4 Ball State - 30 minutes after Game 1 Game 3 #7 Northern Illinois vs #2 Kent State - 30 minutes after Game 2 Game 4 #6 Buffalo vs #3 Akron - 30 minutes after Game 3
