And Mike has the "phantom" championship in there where he went 7-1 by playing against Covid testing depleted teams in empty stadiums whilst he miraculously had a full or nearly full roster every week.

Regarding dissension, wasn't there the thought that were was dissatisfaction among the team last year over the fact that the staff went so long with an ineffective Paddock instead of giving Kelly a shot?
Could the same dissatisfaction be creeping back this year?
And wasn't the elevation of Plitt over an ineffective Neal welcomed by the team?
Could it be that the team knows better than the coaches who should be the QB?
Feel sorry for Semonza. I still think there's a lot to like there, but it's tough as a freshman and he's stuck with crappy coaching/play calling.
Kelly deserves better. He's been strung along without a clue as to how to use his skills. He was in for something like 2 plays at QB in the first half. One was a completion that got called back because of a penalty and the other was a Cooper run. He then got pulled on 3rd and long. Let him throw the damn ball ... or at least drop back like he's going to throw. That's when he's dangerous ... when the defense doesn't know if he's going to throw or run. Not when you just put him back there and paint a big target on his chest. He's dangerous as a runner not on designed plays when the defense knows he's going to get the ball, but when plays break down. But for the play to break down, you have to give him the threat of the pass.
So Hatcher's hurt, huh? Maybe so, but forgive my skepticism. This is another standard of the Neu coaching era. A veteran QB never loses his job because of sub-standard play. They're always dinged up or hurt. Always got to save face with the public.

Can Hatcher use a medical to transfer to a 5th school for his doctorate degree?

The key words from the above are "crappy coaching/play calling". Why don't we give Neu an extension like we did with Whit? It is the Ball State way.

Semonza was clearly way off on Saturday. Tough situation for a freshman. So I’m betting players were getting a little ticked that we weren’t trying anything different save some token plays for Kelly. The body language was not good. The oline sure seemed to want more tempo and more success from the qb position. Even when Semonza had time to throw he was chucking it over the head of a 6-6 kid! Our wr have trouble getting separation. When they do we can’t get the ball to them. I don’t solely blame kadin. The offense he ran in high school was better schemed and had better variety and deception than the crap our staff has come up with. And we can’t run the ball for shit. Something’s gotta give. Have to say I liked how ga south ran their stuff. All kinds of movement, misdirection and deception operated very smoothly. Good plan, good execution. Can we for the love of all that is holy please deep 6 that delayed draw the only serves to get cooper killed 3 yards behind the los. Slow to develop and poorly executed to the point it’s completely telegraphed. We also should forget about the bubble screen. We can’t block for it and aren’t quick enough to exploit it. Finally, are we sure about our S and C philosophy? Their wr were bigger and stronger than our linebackers and we are not especially explosive and quick. And we don’t have WIDE bodies. Ga southern had some wide load space eaters on the d line. Thick!

In total stats, we pass 46% of the time, Run 54% I would have expected that with Kelley as the starting QB
Thought we might be more pass-centric this year

Very telling stats. We lack playmakers and the ability to make explosive plays. We can't get chunk plays via the pass. Inept.
