I'm interested to see what the attendance will look like for Akron on Friday. We've had a very unfavorable attendance situation this year with bad opponents and worse timing, but it's still been about like all prior years.
Earlham - Non-D1 opponent. IU South Bend - Non-D1 opponent weekend before Thanksgiving. Evansville - Highest turnout so far with 3,547. Georgia Southern - Wednesday night week of Christmas Chicago State - Wednesday night week between Christmas and New Years - still came in second with 3,540.
If we somehow beat Toledo I would hope that people start showing up and Worthen becomes a tough place to play.

Pretty easy to get hurt in soccer when you start with an ingrown toe nail. It seems that a not so hard touch in soccer results in a player laying onthe ground maybe bleeding out. I would rather watch paint dry than watch soccer. Yeah, and taking 40 seconds between plays with a 5 minute commercial break between every drive is just a nonstop thrillride.

I think Michigan isnt that good. EMU played them really tough and EMU is terrible. Ohio should have beaten UM too.

I don't really see much chance for drama in the MAC this year. I think it's clear that Kent is the favorite, with Toledo, Ohio, Akron, and us all being in a tier just below, and the rest of the conference is garbage. Lewis seems to be able to win the games he's supposed to win (even if not pretty) and put scares into better teams, but I see us finishing around 4th and hopefully things fall our way in Cleveland.

I've been concerned all year about help for Sparks. What if he has a bad game, is injured, or is in foul trouble? Who replaces him at the post? Hendricks? No way. Jihad doesn't have the bulk of Sparks, but is coming on. GSU was tough, long, and physical. In games like this, I liked what I saw with both Sparks and Jihad on the floor at the same time and can see more of this. Yeah Pearson’s stat line against GSU was not good. He’s been outperforming this year, but if he and Sparks are both off on the same night we’re in trouble.

We lack interior depth and strength. Sparks is having a bit of a sophomore slump. Until the Ga So game Jihad hadn’t shown enough. Get up into our guards and we struggle, so I would imagine MAC teams are going to be very physical with us get Sparks in foul trouble and take away dribble drive to make us beat them from 27 feet away. The genius of Whitford was to just default to that offense.

Those two teams really battled. Georgia Southern is well-coached and tough. Coleman reverted back to the Coleman of old the bulk of the game, though he did a couple of nice things in the comeback. IMO, Jacobs on both ends of the floor was the difference. This was a great win because literally no one besides Jacobs played very well for us and GS wasn't going to roll over for us. A Whitford team wouldn't have whimpered and died down 14 and gotten blown out by this type of a team. Call me crazy, but I fear the holes in Sparks game are starting to get exposed a little bit. You’re crazy.

GS was an exceptionally good defensive team, especially with Curry in the middle. Not one of our best games offensively, especially that first half. An 8 - 4 record is better than I projected. Any insight as to Windham not playing? Injury, poor performance? Windham played about 5 minutes. 0/2 and 0’s across the board.

Chicago State should strike fear into all of us. While they only have 3 wins, they have beaten all 3 teams from Indiana that they have played.

Regarding Kent that may be true but the MAC season will drop their Kenpom rating down without a doubt. One team is it. True, true. When your conference is filled with D1 bottom dwellers (see that NET ranking above), your RPI is never going to benefit your post season aspirations. That's why the conference tournament has always been a Russian Roulette for good MAC teams......in ANY sport. The autobid should go to the regular season champ. The tournament has been our only hope for a long time but it is silly to reward a team for winning a couple games in a row after playing the whole season.

I wish we could have the Indiana State game back. I’d like to see that game now.
