We need to start a pool for some Steele NIL.

So the blue team can commit pass interference. Based on the rest of the half I assumed they were exempt from that rule.

This morning I was thinking over how we've performed under Neu in "big" games. Last year I don't recall any games that were high stakes. In 2020 we had the WMU game where the winner went to Detroit, and we came out about as flat as possible and looked terrible in a miraculous win. But then came out focused and strong in the MAC champ game and in the bowl game. Tonight will be a test of Neu's "big game" coaching.

I think Lewis is trying to make a statement.

How do you eliminate the QB option to run? Tackle him.

I remember when I was in school the University was doing everything in its power to stop students from drinking. How times have changed. You must have missed where the promotion says to “enjoy responsibly.”

A source inside the athletic department sent me a photo taken during Rob’s presentation. Looks promising.

I hate to think just how bad this could be. The quakers lost to IPFW last year like 100 some to 50 some. I don't see this being a challenge with a coach without a “no big deal, I lose to d2 teams all the time” attitude.

Only thing else I can say is getting phase 3 approved will be difficult but deff not impossible. Phase 4 would be marketing and 5 would be game day ops. Phase 4 and 5 scare me the most. If it works it will be a glorious shitshow. What can we expect for phase 16, or have you even gotten there yet?

We finally have a promotion that makes sense. This should be only the beginning of more and better promotions. NOW...if we can field a team that is well coached and we win...just think what that would do for the size of the crowd. I’ve got a better one in my mind and I’m going to make it happen. My foots in the door What’s the timeline on hearing an announcement?

Did anyone notice that the tarps, covers or whatever they are, have been removed from the arena ? Gonna need a lot more free beer to fill those seats.

Season opener tomorrow. Frequently before games I check the opponent’s message board. Haven’t been able to find Earlham’s. They must have it invitation only or something…

Overall I thought Whitford was a good hire at the time, however, the results were underwhelming; I've often wondered if he (Whitford) may have been deeply affected by the Zach Hollywood 'situation'. Being far removed (geographically, etc.) from the inner-workings of the University community as I am and thus not privy to inside information , perhaps Whitford felt a deep seated sense of responsibility, which altered his approach to "pushing" players to a higher level. Just musing late at night. I agree partly. I think the part about him being affected by the Hollywood situation is untrue, mostly because his teams got better after the incident. I also know Whit, and while he was affected by it, it didn't change anything drastically in his life. Hollywood hadn't been around for a long time, and social media was what got to him. A big part of Whit's tenure at BSU was a string of bad luck. I know a lot of people on this thread will hate that, but it's true, like it or not. When he had his best team, the tournament was canceled due to Covid. He inherited a terrible, awful team, and turned it around in one of the biggest turnarounds ever in college basketball history, into the MAC semifinal vs Akron in 2016, when he was missing a healthy Persons and healthy Moses... and still only lost by 4. A couple of middling years with internal issues between him and the administration, some late recruits backing out, the transfer portal, and injuries led to a couple 18-19-20 win seasons with 1st or 2nd round appearances. And now, two years ago, we lose to #1 Toledo in overtime in the tournament, and we begin to call for his firing? After last year, in which we had a season in which we lost by ten to Ohio in the MAC tournament, who had Ben Vander Plas( who now plays for Virginia), and Mark Sears, who plays for #20 alabama, we want him out immediately? This team had a lot of potential and instead of letting the coach who brought every single one of those players in find out what he could do with a more mature team, we fire him with a year left on his contract and hire the big name coach. This just doesn't sit right with me. I know y'all will hate this, but this is what I believe. I actually agree with a lot of this. My memory of the specifics has faded but I remember in his second year feeling stunned by the amount of bad luck we suffered. The problem is at some point you have to take total ownership. I liked Lewis’ use of the quote that winners know why they win and losers dont know why they lose.
