Death, taxes, and BSU receivers catching the ball 1 yard short of the line to gain.

All four of the FBS wins between BSU and UConn are on that list.

If it were a straight “he didnt do it” dismissal I could see the reinstatement, but if it is just being plea bargained down to a misdemeanor I think EMU should take a harder line.

Next up will be Longwood! Or the Denver Nuggets.

I’d say we should ask Lurkin, but I’m not sure if he’s much of a sports fan or willing to travel.

just because we are talking about Toledo, I was curious. We are 21-25-1 all-time. As for Double-Digit underdog wins since 1997: We won in 2020 as a 10 point underdog in the Glass Bowl. We won in 2003 as a 12.5 point underdog at home. We won in 2001 as a 21.5 point underdog at home. We won in 1997 as a 12.0 point underdog at home. I was thinking this morning that Toledo always seems like a powerhouse but also never seems to win it all. I went back and looked at they won the championship in 2017 and did not have quite as many second place finishes as I was thinking. But they also were the only team not to have finished last in the west for as far back as I looked (2008).

My MAC game for this past weekend was at NIU, where Toledo looked dominant. UT's cornerback Quinyon Mitchell had 4 interceptions (2 were pick 6's!), and he's just a sophomore. After his fourth, I cracked that he had more receptions than any of the NIU receivers, which wasn't quite true, but it sure got me death stares from the NIU fans... UT's offense was unstoppable. At the end of 3 quarters, they were up 45-7, so the second string went in. NIU then scored, got a couple onside kicks, scored a couple more times, and finally went down 52-32. The stats for UT aren't really eye-popping (349 total yards), but they are incredibly efficient. Their QB Finn (another sophomore) is going to be a handful for any defense. Our only hope on Nov. 8 is to have one of those odd games where we play out of our minds, like we do so often against Toledo. You also said you were at CMU-Bucknell, you visiting every stadium this year?

I think we opened 11 point favorites and it was quickly lowered to 9. My guess is a lot of people wanted Uconn +11.

Still will be happy we win 6 although I think we have shot in all of them barring injuries. Agreed. But I think we only have a punchers chance against Toledo. Neu hates them and we have a good history of unlikely wins against them, but I think they are easily the class of the MAC this year.

At least you are no longer arguing that he was an assistant for 30 years.
3 possibilities exist for you: 1) You should either find the post where I said that (which, by the way, does not exist) or 2) apologize for misrepresenting me or 3) be known as a liar. He chose option 3 like 15 years ago and he’s stuck to it.

Definitely going to a nerve-racking back end of the season. Based on my preseason expectations I hope you are correct.

I can't say confident, there are so many questions. I just hope we play well in a few games and hopefully that would enough to win 3 games at home which promise to be relatively close.
Date Opponent WinOdds
10/15 Connecticut Home 74.3% 11/15 Ohio Home 57.4% 10/22 E Michigan Home 54.2% 11/22 Miami (OH) Away 33.0% 11/1 Kent State Away 26.3% ?? Confidence is a gut feeling, not an analysis of a series of questions. Also, I didn't say I was confident in a 4 game sweep, only that we will fare pretty well in these games. Whenever I see someone say “I didnt say [fill in the blank]” I always know who they are talking to.

Yes totally I agree we are not good but neither is the mac outside of Toledo Yeah I had counted Kent as a loss and Miami as a toss up and EMU as a win. Now I have no idea.

Quit being overly critical beeatches..,this is a young team learning to win! Great W! Ball U! Hard to over criticize that miserable performance. If CMU was halfway competent they would have murdered us. If it’s any indication, their message board is in “should we fire the coach” mode. But as was said above. Better to win ugly than lose pretty. The defense came up big in the clutch, which is huge.
