The only thing that matters is the MAC tournament. That's what you play the ENTIRE season for.

Last year, teams with the following rankings won 20 or more games: 253, 218, 212, 211, 210, 209, 207, 201.
Teams ranked below 200 are bad teams. Fact check here. Not sure what ranking system you are using, but Sagarin for example shows 3 teams with 20 wins and those include wins in conference tourney competition. Massey composite rating for last year shows only 2 teams, both reaching 20 wins in conference tourney play. I believe we are projecting 20 wins in regular season. No MAC team ranked by anyone below 200 will win 20 games. It remains BSU is this year in a position to get 20 wins with a team finishing the year shorthanded. And right now only 3 teams in the MAC are really in a position to do that.

Sagapom is the best/worst indicator of performance.

Going to the regular seasons games has been fun but Ive told my wife on numerous times none of it matters except for seeding. Heck my 7 year old has figured out the importance of the tournament..

Enjoy the games. We get so wrapped up about the tourney that we tend not to enjoy the moment. The chances of us surviving the MAC event are very slim. We just don’t have enough horses in the stable most likely. I really hope we get through that event, but with such a limited bench, a very tough task. I know he was a problem child, but losing Tyler really hurt. Not showing up yet but, we may need that energy and spark, not to mention the extra minutes everyone has to play.
But then I scratch my head about Francis getting zero minutes.
Rambling done, back to my martini.

I'm going back to a statement I made last year.
The mid majors need to get rid of the tournaments. All it does is devalue the regular season and cause the best conference team to not represent the conference in the NCAA.
In the last 15 years, how many times has the MAC regular season champ represented the conference in the dance?
I know.....$$$$$$$$
How about a preseason MAC tourney to replace the income?

Preseason no sale to TV.
I hate the tourneys too, but the little interest there is in MAC basketball sells at season end with drama of NCAA.
They don't really care if MAC team winner is best.

The only thing that matters is the MAC tournament. That's what you play the ENTIRE season for. Correct, unless the NCAA gets rid of automatic bids you are exactly right. That means more than RPI, KenPom, or whatever ranking metric people point to.
