Ouch. This data is incredibly damning on BSU and the MAC. The drum the Shermaninator has been beating is 100% worth beating It is worth beating but there is a time and a place. He’s beating it nonstop in front of a group that doesnt want to participate. There are people out there who have the power to help him with his problem and instead he goes online and just beats it over and over again. |

Not for sure that I would toss money at a MAC athlete 🤷♂️ in order to personally experience a “winning season”. Do I get an extra hot dog at half time? Paying athletes at a non-tier one level is just pissing $$ in White River. I can envision a level of wealth where I would be willing to do that. But envisioning is the only experience I will ever have with that level of wealth. |

Out of the population of New York City there are probably maybe thousands who could match my 2.75. The stereotype that playground ballers all are academically unqualified for college is BS. This team isn't even remotely fun to watch. I’ve turned off plenty of games in disgust over the past 20 years, but tonight was truly rare for me as I didnt bother to watch. I checked the score a couple of times and tuned in for about 40 seconds in the 2nd half. But otherwise I just didnt want to see it. |

Vandy and JMU was gutted with players and coaching staff leaving. I think we have a competitive chance as compared to the Georgia and Kentucky games. Glad that didnt happen to us. |

That's a very low bar to clear, but what is the evidence that it is, in fact, being cleared? Asking for a friend. Nice of you to cherry pick part of the quote, but just my eyes...And I'm not entirely sure I even believe it myself (as evidenced by the second half of the quote that you conveniently left out). Interesting that you pick apart one sorta positive despite likely largely agreeing with the rest of my post... And yes, it is a VERY low bar. I also feel like he is a better in game coach (note that basing this on a feeling is subjective and therefor not based in evidence). A big part of the reason I feel that way is what I have seen from him on the bench when attending games in person. I have seen him pull a player and greet that player in a blind rage and I have also seen him pull a player and calmly pull them aside and coach them up. I feel like Whitford barely even talked to players during the game. Maybe I’m just not remembering Whitford clearly or maybe Lewis is very ineffectual in these chats I am noticing, but I do feel like he’s more of an in game coach. As mentioned, the bar is so low that basically doing anything looks like an improvement. |

All this really tells me is freeman didn’t have an offer to get significantly more money somewhere else. If IU is going to pay sparks 100k or more more than we can, and he’s going to be a mop up player for them, I’m not going to fault our staff for losing him. Any of us would change jobs for a 100k raise. Sherman are you donating to an NIL fund or are you just going to keep posting without watching the games and pining for the days 35 years ago where we had 2 good seasons? I think he’s pining for the days when we won the MAC Tournament and went to the NCAA seven times and the NIT twice. All of those were good seasons right? That happened? Did you have to decipher hieroglyphics to learn about that? |

He didn't extend Neu. He simply didn't fire him with years left on his contract. His statement was AD speak. AKA pure bullshit. Yeah I mispoke about extending, but my point was that it was bad AD speak. You gotta say bullshit that isnt immediately undermined. Be more vague. |

I don't know anything about the new AD, but his comments when he extended Neu seemed short sighted to me. I get that his hands are tied on extending Neu, but making the comments about how solid the culture is, etc. seemed like it was obviously something that could look very silly very fast. If you say "I'm going to keep this head coach because our culture is awesome and everyone is bought in" and then within the next 3 weeks all the good players go into the portal, we reshuffle the offensive deck chairs, and the one bright spot on the coaching staff bails, you look foolish.
I get the decision, but the statement supporting the decision to me suggests that he doesn't know how the game is played.
