I'm more concerned about a bigger school coming for Sellers. I think we can keep everyone we want to keep. Replacing Jacobs will be a tall task. He’s so well rounded offensively and on D, doesn’t turnover, just so solid. I can’t imagine Coleman leaving if we don’t win it all. If we return the core and get another wing and an experienced guard to replace DJ we will be really good again. Yep, I'm much more concerned about getting a PG. Jacobs can do it all at the 1 and will be a huge loss.

I'm disappointed to see Sherman calling to Lewis to be fired and blacklisted by all other employers after he's had such a promising start. I, for one, am willing to cut Lewis some slack.

For a guy who said he wears a suit to be a good role model and professional, the loud angry cussing is incongruous. I’ve heard the complaint a couple of times but this one sounds like more strange timing than anything else.

she said she was going to write a strongly worded letter. Wouldn’t that be hypocritical?

Would you go ahead and renegotiate Lewis now. Pay him near the top of the MAC but also only do it if he agrees to much higher buyout clause. Worst case you gotta pay him top MAC Dollar if he flatlines or even fails. Best case he stays money is deserved and we are contender every year. Push somebody scoops him up quick but due to increased buy out clause. We cash in and are in a better position to pay next coach. Yes we would have to find the money but interest is at a twenty year high. We had people step up to fire whit. Its easier to find people wanting to keep a hot commodity By "now" do you mean today or at the end of the season? If he wins the MAC then yeah an extension is understandable. But one of our DNA's would be extend him today and we lose 5 straight to end the season bitterly disappointed.

I got to the game about 2:15 and the ticket line was out the door. I was really blown away and expected attendance to be huge. Then I realized that the line was huge because it was so slow moving. Based on that initial expectation the arena looked emptier than I expected.

We came into MAC play by beating last year’s regular season champ, last year’s tourney champ, and two of the three teams tied for first right now. How exactly were we not “ready to play”? I'm simply saying that we haven't played very many high level, high intensity, great atmosphere games. Come tournament time, we will have wanted some experience under our belt. And yes, I'd say we were very ready to play Kent and Buffalo, wouldn't you? Oh… my bad. I thought you were saying that due to a weak non-conference schedule we weren’t ready for the level of competition that has us one game out of first place 11 games into conference play. We definitely did not look ready to play against Kent or Buffalo. It’s just that playing Earlham in November had nothing to do with it.

Personally, we need a stronger non-conference schedule next year. This year was a great building block and a great first year for the new coaching staff, but we will need to be more ready for conference play next year. Part of the problem I believe that Coach Lewis, as we all did, underestimated this team and schedule a weak non conference. Then, when we came into MAC play, we weren't ready to play. Honestly, some of these MAC teams are some of the better teams we play. We came into MAC play by beating last year’s regular season champ, last year’s tourney champ, and two of the three teams tied for first right now. How exactly were we not “ready to play”?

I hope EMU arent playing for the 8th spot when we see them. I think if they are eliminated they arent the guys to keep their heads in it. But if they are focused and determined we could lose that one. I think we’ll beat Toledo and have a good shot at Kent at home. Akron on the road I expect a loss.

Felt like the refs were letting them play. 10 total fouls is not typical of MAC refereeing. Thought some players had some reactions like they couldn’t believe a foul wasn’t called in that particular play. Nice finish to the half. Just get the win and get out. I would rather have it looser than tighter, but yeah they are letting them mug each other.
