I'll be making my first journey to Kent tonight for the game. Apparently it's a "Blackout" game with a $2 beer and $8 ticket special. Could be a decent crowd on hand Takes a lot of beer to blackout. They should be selling liquor |

Kent's 3 losses are all against current top 25 teams.
Kent is unbeaten at home (same with us and Akron).
Kent is receiving votes in the AP poll.
Kent is 82.1% favorites according to ESPN (it's got a decimal point so it's probably extremely accurate).

No we have them and the ball was almost to the hoop when it went off. We fought through a serious screw job tonight and won. It wasn't just that shot. It was ridiculous. I’m still marveling how the ref got “jump ball” on a late game rebound where the wmu player about ripped Jihad’s arm off before getting his hands on the ball. I lost it. One of the worst calls I’ve seen. I dont think he even touched the ball. |

I think Lewis has their attention. I don't think the Broncos have the horses to blow us out. If they do then you "Debbie Downers" can wallow in the fact that you were right Does this board still have debbie downers? I thought since we got the change the “negative” people were begging for and so far it has worked out well I havent seen much negativity. |

bad feeling about this one. WMU can put points up and we're "struggling" a bit right now with consistency. What WMU did to BG in the second half the other day was concerning. 69 points in a half! We'll need to defend really hard. They have a 6'7 dude getting 10 boards a game. Got 20 against Toledo, so I feel like their strengths are our Achilles heel, especially in terms of guards who can create off the dribble and interior play. Need Sparks to have a really good night and hope our guards stay out of foul trouble. I'm not sure if you're working your mojo or not, but I'm not that worried. I remember early in one Whitford season after he was already a known commodity we beat the hell out of EMU and put up 100+ on them. Needless to say we did not repeat that performance the rest of the season and I think we actually lost to EMU the other game that season. Any team can get super hot against a bad defense and light up a scoreboard, if Western could do that consistently they wouldn't be where they are now. |

It's pretty sad but we've been so bad for so long that I'm surprised when I see us having a series advantage over anyone anymore.

I would guess the attendance would drop off from Saturday because it's harder for non-Muncie folk to make it. The students have to fill that gap.

Why wouldnt we do a 2 for 1 with them? Why would we? We’re close enough their fans can come here. I cant help envisioning a meeting where Butler says they wont play in Muncie and Lewis starts walking around the room clucking like a chicken until they cave. |
